We love fresh coconut mylk make from organic young coconut meat but if this is not an option for you, here is your ticket.
What you will need: 2 Cups Unsweetened Coconut Shreds 2 1/2 cups Water Equipment Needed: Nut mylk bag Large Bowl Here is how to make it: You want to heat your water on the stove just under a boil. Then add this water on top of the coconut shreds in a large bowl. Stir it at first and then knead it with your hands to really incorporate the mixture well. Do this for several minutes as it will yield a richer, creamier mylk. Then simply add the contents in the bowl to your nut mylk bag and strain out the mylk into another bowl or jar. What You Will Need: 2 cups Fresh Made Coconut or Almond Mylk 1/4 cup Chia Seeds 1 tablespoon Flax Seeds (optional but really great addition for the extra omega 3 boost) Organic Stevia powder or drops to taste or other sweetener of choice 1 tsp. Fresh Ground Vanilla Bean 1 tsp. Goji Berries A sprinkle of Fresh Pomegranate Seeds Equipment: Grinder for the flax seeds Blender for making the mylk Nut Mylk bag for straining the pulp First: You want to decide what your base will be, what kind of mylk do you want to make? We suggest either Coconut or Almond mylk. Click on the links provided for each of those recipes. Take your desired amount of mylk depending on how thick or thin you like your porrdige and put it in a pot on the stove. Choose the lowest heat or a setting for "warm". Keep an eye on it and stir it so that it gets warm to the touch but not hot so you keep the enzymes and nutrients intact. Then add in the desired amount of chia seeds, around 1/4 cup for 1 to 2 cups mylk. Grind one tablespoon of flax seed and put this in the mylk. Allow the chia to swell and the flax to incorporate well. In a bowl add a few fresh pomegranate seeds, goji berries and fresh, cinnamon & ground vanilla bean powder.
