Hey Vital Family! In today's blog post we are sharing with you a crucial coconut mylk recipe for all of your favorite cereals, smoothies and sauces. This is such a powerful recipe because here we are using the shreds instead of having to purchase the fresh raw young coconut meat that can be costly and hard to find for some. We love fresh coconut mylk make from organic young coconut meat but if this is not an option for you, here is your ticket.
What you will need:
2 Cups Unsweetened Coconut Shreds
2 1/2 cups Water
Nut mylk bag
Here is how to make it:
You want to heat your water on the stove just under a boil. Then add this water on top of the coconut shreds in a large bowl. Stir it at first and then knead it with your hands to really incorporate the mixture well. Do this for several minutes as it will yield a richer, creamier mylk.
Then simply add the contents in the bowl to your nut mylk bag and strain out the mylk into another bowl or jar. This is your final product and a nourishing, rich cost effective way to create coconut mylk!
